Workshop on Corporate Engagement on
Water-Climate-Livelihood Nexus

The First dialogue series Workshop on Corporate Engagement on Water-Climate-Livelihood Nexus, organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Frank Water, was successfully held on 10th December 2024 at Chennai.

The workshop focused on a feasibility study conducted by the CII-Triveni Water Institute, which evaluated water availability, demand, and management strategies for the Sriperumbudur watershed in Tamil Nadu. This study addressed the region's dynamic water needs amidst rapid urbanization and industrial growth. The study combined a rigorous approach with on-ground data integration to develop a water allocation framework and emphasised on industry led collective action.

This Workshop was organised under the aegis of CII Mission on Water which aims to focus on improved water use efficiency in industries and communities for a long-term economic and environmental growth. The mission is spearheaded by Mr Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss Industries Pvt Ltd.

The workshop brought together experts, stakeholders, and leaders to deliberate on key principles driving water use efficiency, sustainability, and water security. Through insightful discussions, we explored the critical connections between water, climate change, livelihoods, and supply chains.
