Virtual Master Class on Pipe Materials in Water & Wastewater Systems

There are different piping materials available for water and wastewater collection systems, each with a unique characteristic used in different conditions. To orient stakeholders on Current Trends & New Developments in Pipe Materials a virtual masterclass on “Pipe Materials in Water & Wastewater Systems” was organized on 20 April.

  • Life cost analysis, standardization and science & manufacturing are important consideration for selection of piping system.
  • Simulation test in industry grade laboratory to test pipes confirming Indian standards would be critical.
  • Industry must adopt international standards to remain competitive and be on par with their counterparts globally.
  • The selection of pipes should be guided by the working pressure in the pipeline leading to resultant savings.
